Shawn Golnick, M.Ed.

Shawn Golnick began at Florida State University Republic of Panama as an adjunct English composition instuctor in 2022. In 2024, he accepted the position of Writing Center Director and continues to teach English composition courses while providing academic support to students at the center. Professor Golnick received his bachelor’s degree of the arts in English from Cleveland State University in 2007 and his master’s degree in education in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from the University of Cincinnati in 2016. Professor Golnick’s career in education has taken him to many places around the world, including Costa Rica, Taiwan, and Hainan, in the Republic of China. He is also proud of his Cleveland, Ohio roots and enjoys periodic visits to his hometown. He has had the pleasure of working closely with people of all ages and from many walks of life. He takes great satisfaction in getting to meet and know his students while helping them express themselves using the English language.
