Dr. Vasquez is the first Panamanian recipient of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology of Japan’s scholarship for conducting research and doctoral studies in Japan. He did his graduate studies at the University of Hiroshima earning the doctor of engineering degree in Industrial Chemistry focused on environmental and physiological applications of electrochemistry. He holds a bachelor degree in Chemical Physics from the Universidad Complutense of Madrid, Spain.
