Professor Vasquez combines his experience in academia and a professional career in economics with experience in business and government. Currently adjunct professor of Economics, he thought management and quantitative methods for business at FSU Panama. His academic experience includes Universidad Santa Maria La Antigua (Panama) and lecturer at Villanova University on global business.
Minister of Economics and Finance of Panama, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Panama Canal and CFO of the Panama Canal Commission, the US Government entity responsible for the operation and transfer of the Panama Canal, lead the team that designed the roadmap towards the Panama Canal Master Plan 2025 which included the Panama Canal Expansion Project completed in 2016.
His corporate experience includes CEO for General Electric International (Central America & the Caribbean) and VP for Gas-to-Power project initiatives for Latin America and as economist at The Chase Manhattan Bank (Panama).
